  • 1 Frankfurter Sausage
  • 2 Medium Eggs
  • 1 tbsp of frozen Chopped Coriander

Coriander and Hot dogs?

You may be wondering about the combination of coriander and hot dogs in this recipe but trust me it really works and provides an almost subtle Mexican flavour the the omelette. However, if you aren’t keen to give this a try then just miss it out.

Directions to make a Hotdog Omelette

Here are the directions for how to make a hot dog omelette.

Step 1

Place a small frying pan on a medium to high heat and spray 5 times with the spray oil.

Step 2

Wrap the frankfurter in a sheet of kitchen roll and cook in a microwave on full power for 30 seconds. This ensures the frankfurter is cooked through before adding to the omelette.

Step 3

Add the chopped onion and frozen coriander to the frying pan and stir. The frozen coriander will melt through quite quickly and during this time you should cut the frankfurter into small slice and then add to the pan.

Step 4

Crack the two eggs into a bowl and mix well with a generous twist of salt and pepper. Then add the egg mixture to the pan and swirl around for good coverage ensuring all the ingredients are covered with some egg.

Step 4

Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the omelette is firm but still a bit soft in the middle and slide onto a plate and enjoy.
