Now, I had a go at rolling this omelette.
More out of habit than anything else.
But, I don’t really think it rolls very well as it is mainly mushrooms and very thin egg so just slide it to your plate instead.

The secret to being able to make this tasty mushroom omelette in five minutes is to use a wide and thin pan to allow all the ingredients to spread out but especially the egg so it cooks through quickly.
Also, don’t be afraid of a little heat and oil to get the mushrooms and onions cooked down in only a few mintues.
The ingredients required for this recipe
Here are the ingredients you need to make this quick mushroom omelette.
- 100 grams of Chestnut Mushrooms (this is roughly 3 large mushrooms or 5 medium sized ones)
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Red Onion
- 1 Mini Peperami
- Chilli Salt

If you want to turn this recipe into a vegetarian option then simply leave the peperami out.

How to make a five minute mushroom omelette
Here are the key steps to making a five minute mushroom omelette.
- Place your crepe pan on a medium to high heat and add a few sprays of cooking oil
- Finely dice the Red Onion and add to the pan
- Clean and chop your mushrooms then add to the pan
- Season the mushrooms and onion and stir
- Chop and add the peperami
- Let the mushrooms, onions and peperami cook for three minutes
- Beat the two eggs and add to the pan
- Swirl the egg mixture over the mushrooms and onions and cover as much of the pan as possible
- cook for 1-2 minutes then serve

Ingredients
- 100 grams Chestnut Mushrooms 3-4 Mushrooms
- 2 Medium Eggs

- 1 tbsp Chilli Salt
Instructions
- Place your crepe pan on a medium to high heat and add a few sprays of cooking oil

- Clear and chop the mushrooms and add to the pan
- Chop and add the peperami
- Let the mushrooms, onions and peperami cook for three minutes
- Beat the two eggs and add to the pan
- Swirl the egg mixture over the mushroom and ensure it covers the whole pan
- Cook for 1-2 minutes then serve
